The Islamabad High Court has issued its written order on PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif’s petition for restoring his appeals against his sentences in the Al-Azizia and Avenfield references.
The court extended the order against arresting Nawaz Sharif till October 26 and sought arguments on the maintainability of applications for restoration of the appeals.
The court issued notices to the NAB on the two applications of Nawaz Sharif for restoration of his appeals.
It was requested that since the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has sought time to seek instructions, the protective bail should be granted till then, the written order stated.
The NAB prosecutor general said he had no objection to the extension of Nawaz Sharif's protective bail.
The order not to arrest Nawaz Sharif was extended till October 26, the written verdict said further. It added that the former prime minister’s lawyers will satisfy the court on October 26 on the maintainability of the miscellaneous applications.
